Reverse Advent Appeal 2019

11th November 2019

Swale Foodbank are excited to officially launch our Reverse Advent appeal for the 3rd year running! Each year, you our local community amaze us with your incredible generosity and we hope that Christmas 2019 will be just the same!

Swale Foodbank’s Reverse Advent appeal takes place from 1st-24th December. Each day of advent, rather than taking a chocolate from a calendar, you place an item into a box. On the 24th December you then donate the box to either someone you personally know has had a tough year or bring it to our Net Church branch on Christmas Eve any time between 10am-12pm.

There are 2 types of boxes you can make for Reverse Advent: you can either do a box of everyday items to be used for restocking our foodbank shelves OR you can make a Christmassy box. Some basic guidelines to remember:
– Please do not include any alcohol in your boxes
– Please ensure every item has a date of at least end of December 2019
– We love getting boxes that are decorated/wrapped and looking beautiful and Christmassy….but this isn’t essential 🙂
